KHC President and CEO Randa Deaton has been elected Vice Chair for the National Alliance of Healthcare Purchaser Coalitions (National Alliance) Board of Governors. Deaton previously served on the Board of Governors, and this is her second term as Vice Chair.
The National Alliance is the only nonprofit, purchaser-led organization with a national and regional structure dedicated to driving health and healthcare value across the country. Its members represent private and public sector, nonprofit, and Taft-Hartley organizations, and more than 45 million Americans, spending over $300 billion annually on healthcare.
The KHC is a member organization of the National Alliance.
“Especially given the challenges that employers and other healthcare purchasers have faced over the last year and a half, the National Alliance is fortunate to have the insight and participation of these industry experts,” said Michael Thompson, National Alliance President and CEO. “We appreciate their engagement and leadership in our efforts to promote transparency, reward and recognize value and performance, improve health and access to care, and facilitate alternative payment methodologies.”
