What are you currently working on that you are most excited about? How do you think it will drive improvements to health and healthcare in the community

“I’m very excited about the Louisville Health Advisory Board collective impact work that is taking shape in Louisville. Our Bold Goal is to make the communities we serve 20% healthier by 2020 by making it easy for people to achieve their best health. This forum will allow us to organize and support community efforts in new ways that will help us collectively improve Louisville’s physical and mental health. ”

Improving health is one of the three main priorities of the Triple Aim. What are the best strategies for improving health in our community?

“I believe that we have to view the whole person (i.e. mentally, physically, and spiritually) and we can’t ignore their past. Additionally, I don’t believe this community can rest nor adequately meet the Triple Aim without first addressing health literacy, community safety, and food insecurity.”

Why do you think a multi-stakeholder coalition like the KHC is needed in the community?

“This coalition provides a venue for stakeholders and especially employer groups to learn from each other and to more clearly define their roles that can positively impact Louisville’s health.”

What are you passionate about?

“Investing in the next generation because their generation is an ideas culture. Developing and implementing new ideas in ways that solve age old problems.”
