Late last year, longtime KHC partner and former KHC Board Member Yolanda Reed joined the KHC team as an independent contractor to assist with member recruitment. In the past several months, Yolanda has enjoyed talking to and educating people about KHC’s body of work, the organization’s commitment to community, and advocacy for better healthcare for all who live in Kentucky and Southern Indiana.
Anyone who has been involved with the KHC in the past might remember Yolanda as the Director of Human Resources at Kelley Construction. While there, she participated in the KHC Board of Directors and KHC Executive Committee. After leaving Kelley Construction in 2021, she founded her own consulting company. She officially began working with the KHC in late 2021.
“I’m always so intrigued by the expressions and/or reaction from people when I talk about KHC and equally blown away that they didn’t know about the organization,” Yolanda said. “It’s such a hidden gem and serves as a critical tool for employers.”

What do you like to do in your spare time?
“I love to spend time with family and friends and entertain at our home.”
What is something people might find surprising about you?
“People may find it surprising that I’ve never held a pet/animal before. I’m afraid of all animals.”

“I was on the front page of New York Times Newspaper worldwide during the Swine Flu Pandemic.”
What is your favorite place to travel?
“Favorite place to travel is anywhere tropical; beach.”
