Employer Roundtable: Identifying Purchaser Priorities in Maternal Health, Mental Health, and Obesity

September 7, 2023 @ 9:00 am 10:30 am

This event is for employer members of the KHC only. Invitees have received a personal email.

Overview

The mission of the Kentuckiana Health Collaborative is to work collaboratively with healthcare purchasers and stakeholders to build healthier communities through high quality, affordable, and equitable healthcare across Kentucky and Southern Indiana. While challenges in developing a high quality, affordable, and equitable healthcare system exist across the spectrum of health conditions, the KHC recently prioritized three high-impact areas that urgently need to be addressed at local and national level as part of the organization’s strategic plan: maternal health, mental health, and obesity. Five initiatives support the creation of high quality, affordable, and equitable care for these focus areas: data and measurement, policy and advocacy, transparency, education, and partner engagement.

As an employer-led, multi-stakeholder collaborative, the KHC is eager to understand and incorporate the perspectives and goals of our employer members within these focus areas. Join the Kentuckiana Health Collaborative virtually on September 7, 2023, from 9am-10:30am for an employer roundtable to discuss your priorities and strategize how the KHC can leverage the power of healthcare purchasers to achieve our mission.

Objectives

  • Understand the KHC’s current strategic plan and the role of the healthcare purchaser in achieving the organization’s mission
  • Share past and current healthcare purchaser initiatives and priorities related to the KHC’s three focus areas
  • Strategize how healthcare purchasers can accelerate and ensure high quality, affordable, and equitable healthcare for their members within these three focus areas
  • Identify potential programs and projects for the KHC to pursue related to each focus area
