In December 2010, the Kentuckiana Health Collaborative released its fifth Annual KHC Consolidated Measurement Reports to over 4,000 clinicians in Kentucky and Southern Indiana. These private, confidential reports give providers data on the quality of care their patients received in the following clinical areas of focus: 1) diabetes, 2) breast cancer screening, 3) acute low back pain, 4) upper respiratory infection, and 5) pharyngitis. Providers can compare their own data to the community average and benchmark. Reports are available for the first time in a web-based format, and group reports are availabe upon request. The following clinical areas were ONLY aggregated at the community level and not at the individual provider level: 1) cervical cancer screening, 2) chlamydia screening, 3) colon cancer screening, 4) acute bronchitis, 5) depression, and 6) mental illness hospitalization follow-up.
To implement this initiative, Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield, Humana Health Plan of Kentucky, Passport Health Plan, and Kentucky Medicaid provided claims data derived from their 2010 HEDIS submissions; University of Kentucky consolidated these data.
