Unfinished Business: The Race Case for Diversity.
Description: Companies invest billions of dollars annually, and still, many diversity efforts are seen as ineffectively addressing the needs of BIPOC. 2020 saw an 84% increase in corporate chief diversity officer hires, yet research shows most diversity officers and programs are set up to fail.
This is a continuation of the educational series that KHC Members participated in last year, Anti-Racism & Equity In Healthcare: Confronting Our Past, Present, and Future. We look forward to continuing to work together to engage businesses and healthcare stakeholders to drive healthcare equity and anti-racist healthcare systems. The session will not be recorded or repeated.
1.5 hours of our meeting will be dedicated to this session. We will be extending our meeting time by half an hour so we also have time to address KHC business.
