This month Melissa Eggen joined the Kentuckiana Health Collaborative staff as Director of Data Management and Innovation. Melissa brings a wealth of knowledge and experience in both the non-profit and academic fields. In her new role she is responsible for data management and innovation at the KHC, including supporting the translation of data into actionable strategies to improve health and healthcare delivery.

Before joining the KHC, Melissa was a Program Manager and Senior Policy Analyst at the University of Louisville. She is currently a PhD student at the University of Louisville working toward her Doctor of Philosophy in Public Health Science with a specialization in health management and policy. Melissa has a Bachelor’s degree in Anthropology and Japanese from the University of Kentucky, and a Master of Public Health from the University of Illinois at Chicago with a concentration in Maternal and Child Health.

Melissa’s research writing has been published in multiple peer-reviewed and non-peer reviewed publications. Currently, she serves as co-investigator on projects with Louisville Metro Government and Society of Family Planning.

We are excited to have Melissa join the KHC team. Within her first few days Melissa is already making a difference in her role and the many KHC projects – including the 9th Annual KHC Conference.

Welcome Melissa!
